Location: Jasper, Indiana

Position Summary

This position will provide financial leadership to the Home Center sales channel, including forecasting/financial analysis to support channel management and the profit planning process.

The individual filling this role will provide direct financial support to the Channel SVPs / Directors of the US Home Center Channel Partners.

Accountabilities

  • Report and analyze brand profitability versus plan and prior year to executive team; identify opportunities for improvement based on analysis
  • Partner with channel SVPs to quantify promotional landscape & track market share both for the company and competitors
  • Oversee month-end closing, forecasting, and annual budget processes for gross-to-net sales accounts and corporate period expenses for home center sales team
  • Analyze key drivers and trends of sales profitability such as returns and allowances, promotional costs, etc.
  • Review compensation payouts for sales force including both commission based and salaried heads
  • Provide key ad-hoc financial support for special order brands including estimation of new rebate programs, valuation of current programs and merchandising support, and reporting of key financial metrics such as historical sales growth
  • Review program payouts to home centers; ensure proper reserves are in place for any outstanding balances owed
  • Provide leadership to supporting finance analyst including personnel development, annual performance reviews, and ongoing communication and guidance

  • Ability to interface effectively with senior leaders, collaborate and work effectively within the company Finance organization and other functional areas
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to lead individuals in a matrix organization
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Continuous improvement mindset to promote reliability of data and elimination of process inefficiencies
  • Knowledge of general accounting including income statement and balance sheet
  • Bias for action in a high-pressure environment
  • Very strong Microsoft Excel skills

Experience & Education

  • This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.  MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • Five to seven years of experience in a related field is necessary.
